Greg DavisProduction Facilities

Mr. Davis is an associate for Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2006, Mr. Davis was an analyst in the energy investment banking group of Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was involved in numerous financial advisory and underwriting engagements for upstream oil and gas companies. Mr. Davis earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004.

Michael Heinz Jr.


Mr. Heinz is a senior managing director for Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. He focuses on identifying investment opportunities as part of Kayne Anderson’s emphasis on energy transactions. Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2002, Mr. Heinz was a senior vice president of Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc., a Texas-based oil and gas consulting firm that provides a complete range of professional reservoir engineering, geophysical and geological services to the worldwide petroleum industry. Mr. Heinz began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1984 as a reservoir and operations engineer for Exxon Company U.S.A. Mr. Heinz earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa in 1984.

Prior to joining EnCap in 2003, Mr. McMahon served for three years as the Vice President of Corporate Development for Prosoft Training. Previously he was an associate in the Energy and Corporate Finance group of Prudential Capital Group from 1996 to 2000. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University. Mr. McMahon serves on the board of directors of several EnCap portfolio companies, is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.


David B. Miller


From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Miller served as President of PMC Reserve Acquisition Company, a partnership jointly owned by EnCap and Pitts Energy Group. Prior to the establishment of EnCap, he served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of MAZE Exploration, Inc., a Denver-based oil and gas company he co-founded in 1981. Mr. Miller began his professional career with Republic National Bank of Dallas, ultimately serving as Vice President and Manager of the bank’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Republic Energy Finance Corporation. In 2004, Mr. Miller was appointed to the National Petroleum Council, an advisory body to the Secretary of Energy, and he is also a member of the Board of Advisors of the Maguire Energy Institute. Additionally, he is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association and the Dallas Wildcat Committee. Mr. Miller currently serves on the Board of several EnCap portfolio companies and is a member of the board of the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States.

Mr. Miller is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, having received Bachelors and Master’s Degrees in Business Administration in 1972 and 1973, respectively. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at SMU and was named a Distinguished Alumnus of the Cox School in 2000.

D. Martin Phillips


Prior to joining EnCap in 1989, Mr. Phillips served as a Senior Vice President in the Energy Banking Group of NationsBank in Dallas, Texas. In his capacity as Manager of the U.S. / International Division from 1987 to 1989, he had responsibility for credit commitments totaling approximately $1 billion to a broad spectrum of energy-related companies. Mr. Phillips began his career in 1978 with RepublicBank Dallas (NationsBank Texas' predecessor organization) and served in various senior energy banking positions, including Vice President and Manager of RepublicBank’s energy loan production office in Denver, from 1980 to 1985, and Senior Vice President and Division Manager in RepublicBank’s Houston office, from 1986 to 1987. Mr. Phillips holds M.B.A. and B.S. degrees from Louisiana State University. He is a member of the LSU College of Business Hall of Distinction. Mr. Phillips also attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.


Charles Yates


Mr. Yates is a senior managing director for Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. He is responsible for the origination and execution of private equity transactions in the energy industry. Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2001, Mr. Yates was a senior vice president at Stephens Inc., an integrated merchant and investment bank. Mr. Yates earned a B.A. in Political Science in 1991 and an M.B.A. in Finance in 1994 from Rice University.
