Patrick J. Noyes, President and Chief Executive Officer
Patrick J. Noyes is the founder, President and CEO of Grenadier Energy Partners, LLC. From February, 2003 until June, 2006 he was Chairman, President, and CEO of Stroud Energy, Inc. in Ft. Worth, Texas. At Stroud, Mr. Noyes led a turnaround of that company from a severely financially distressed company to one which sold in June, 2006 with an enterprise value of $455 million. He accomplished this with a simple two point business plan of restructuring the capital and diversifying the asset base. This diversification was achieved through acquisitions and growth through the drill bit in the Barnett Shale and East Texas. During his tenure, production increased from 12.5 mmcfd to just over 30 mmcfd in June, 2006. Also, proved reserves increased from 72.9 BCF to 159.4 BCF during that time. From February, 2002 to February, 2003, he was a co-founder of American EnergyQuest, L.P., a private company involved in efforts to form and finance the acquisition of certain producing oil and gas properties. Previously, he was employed by Mitchell Energy Company, L.P. in The Woodlands, Texas for over 22 years. From 1999 until he left in 2002, he was Mitchell Energy’s Vice President – Drilling and Services. During Mr. Noyes’ tenure as Vice President – Drilling and Services, Mitchell Energy’s Barnett Shale activity increased from a two rig program to 18 rigs running in January, 2002. The growth in net Barnett production in this period was threefold (80-240 MMCFD). Mr. Noyes had complete control over all drilling operations for the entire company, as well as stewardship over the reserve bookings. Additionally, he routinely interfaced with the production engineers and geologists in developing prospects and planning rig activity. In 2001, Mitchell drilled a total of 360 wells with a capital budget of $345 million. Of this total, 310 wells were in the Barnett. These wells accounted for approximately 388 BCF of PDP reserves added to Mitchell Energy’s books. Mr. Noyes holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (With Honors) from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Mr. Noyes’ professional associations include memberships in the SPE and IPAA.
